Our chamber fits YOUR trolleys
Don't replace your trolley fleet. We engineer the wash chamber around your existing equipment.
Why standard chambers don't fit every operation
The "standard bakery rack trolley" varies surprisingly. Swedish industrial bakeries standardize on 800 mm wide trolleys. North American institutional kitchens use 18×26 inch (457×660 mm) sheet pan trolleys. European GN1/1 commissaries use 530×325 mm trays on 600 mm wide trolleys. Airline catering uses ATLAS / KSSU half-size or full-size trolleys (300 × 400 / 400 × 800 mm).
Buying a fixed-chamber rack washer means either (a) replacing your entire trolley fleet to fit the washer, or (b) loading the washer inefficiently because trolleys don't fit. V-TAI's approach: customize the chamber to fit your trolleys.
Customization range
| Dimension | Standard | Custom range |
|---|---|---|
| Chamber width | 750 mm | 700–900 mm |
| Chamber depth | 1000 mm | 900–1200 mm |
| Chamber height | 1900 mm | 1700–2100 mm |
| Floor load rating | 250 kg | Up to 400 kg (reinforced floor option) |
Beyond these ranges, project-specific engineering review. We have built one-off chambers up to 1100 mm width × 1300 mm depth × 2200 mm height for airline-catering ULDs and oversize hospital meal carts.
Lead time impact
Standard chamber: 4–6 weeks FOB Shenzhen.
Custom chamber within standard range: 6–8 weeks FOB Shenzhen (+2 weeks vs standard).
Project-specific engineering review chamber: 10–14 weeks depending on dimension and material specification.
Custom chambers do not carry a price premium versus standard in most cases — only when dimensions exceed the standard tooling envelope does pricing change.
Engineering review process
- Submit your trolley specifications. CAD drawing preferred, or dimensioned hand-sketch with trolley wheel base, trolley height including handles, tray sizes loaded, and any non-standard features.
- V-TAI engineering returns CAD draft within 5 business days showing chamber dimensions, door opening, ramp/pit configuration, utility connections.
- You approve or request changes. Iterative — most projects converge in 2 review cycles.
- Production begins on approved CAD. Lead time clock starts.
What we need from you to start the review
- Trolley external dimensions: width, depth, height (including handles)
- Trolley wheel base and wheel diameter (determines floor flush requirement)
- Loaded trolley weight (determines floor load specification)
- Tray dimensions loaded on trolley
- Number of tray levels (determines internal trolley shelf spacing)
- Any non-standard features: handles, dividers, drip trays integral to trolley
- Photos of the trolley loaded and unloaded
Common customization scenarios
- European 800 mm wide bakery trolleys: chamber 850 mm wide × 1100 mm deep × 2000 mm tall
- Airline catering full-size ATLAS: chamber 900 × 1200 × 2000 mm
- Hospital meal-cart 1200 mm length: chamber 800 × 1300 × 2000 mm (project-specific)
- Confectionery starch-mold frames: chamber 1000 × 1100 × 1800 mm
- Compact half-size catering trolleys: chamber 600 × 800 × 1800 mm (smaller footprint version)
