Labour Savings from Automating Tray Cleaning

The math behind the wash bay's labour cost — and what actually changes when you automate.

The labour case for industrial rack washers is the strongest part of the ROI story — and the most consistently underestimated. Plants that automate tray cleaning typically discover the labour savings are larger than they modeled, faster than they planned for, and concentrated in unexpected places.

Manual baseline: what a wash worker actually does
